"WE OUGHT TO WALK THROUGH THE ROOMS OF OUR LIVES NOT LOOKING FOR FLAWS, BUT FOR POTENTIAL" - a quote by Ellen Goodman, is appropriate to describe her method of eliciting the best from her staff and students. She firmly believes in the all round development of her students and meticulously plans age appropriate field trips for all classes. She promotes and practices Social Service which is high up on her list of priorities. Her kindness and concern, is not limited to human beings, but also extends towards animals. Meditation, twice a day in school, has been introduced, to sow the seeds of self control and self introspection in the young impressionable minds.
I WILL SEEK ELEGANCE RATHER THAN LUXURY
REFINEMENT RATHER THAN FASHION
I WILL SEEK TO BE WORTHY MORE THAN RESPECTABLITY
WEALTHY NOT RICH
I WILL WORK HARD, THINK QUIETLY, TALK GENTLY,
AND ACT FRANKLY
These lines by William Ellery Channing accurately describe her.
The secret of her success , which is synonymous with the school's progress is Never to bask in past Glories. Her zeal to see the school and India reach out to the world has resulted in various Global Projects. She follows an open door policy which makes her easily approachable. Her immediate vision for the school is to extend a hand of friendship to the students' community and teaching faculty all over the world and unite under the canopy of "UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD, WORLD PEACE and CO-EXISTENCE OF MAN AND NATURE". She believes -
NOT ENJOYMENT AND NOT SORROWS
IS OUR DESTINED END OR WAY
BUT TO ACT, THAT EACH TOMORROW
FINDS US FARTHER THAN TODAY.
- (H W Longfellow)
