School Rules & Regulations
1. Children must wear proper uniform.
2. No child may wear jewellery. However girls are allowed small simple earrings.
3. No child may use cosmetics or apply henna (mehndi) on their hands or colour the hair or apply kohl (kaajal) etc. This can lead to suspension from school.
4. No nail polish may be worn and nails must be trimmed regularly and kept clean.
5. Girls with long hair should make two plaits tied with white ribbons. Those with short hair may use a white elastic hairband.
6. Students will not be allowed to wear low waist trousers or low waist skirts. They will not be allowed to wear school socks rolled down or folded.
7. It is compulsory for all students to wear the I-Card daily. A sum of Rs. 50/- will be charged from any student who requires a duplicate I-Card.
8. Lunch boxes, bags, ties, belts, etc. must have the child's name clearly marked. (The school will not be responsible for lost property). No lunch box, water bottle or eatables will be accepted at the school reception.
9. School gates will be closed at 7:50 a.m. Any child reporting after that will not be allowed to attend any class that day. Parents will be called to take the student back home.
10. Students should not purchase anything from vendors outside the school gate.
11. 75% attendance is a must failing which the student will not be allowed to appear in the annual examination or be granted promotion to the next class.
12. The names of the students who are absent from the school for a week without permission or whose fees are outstanding after the 20th day of the month, will be struck off the school rolls and will be re-admitted only on payment of Admission Fee and complete arrears.
13. Absence from school must be supported by an application for leave signed by the parent / guardian. If the absence is due to illness and exceeds more than three days a doctor's certificate should accompany the leave application.
14. Half day leaves are strictly prohibited.
15. Wilful absenteeism is extremely undesirable and strict action will be taken in this regard.
16. Should there be any infectious disease at home, parents should keep their ward/wards at home till the danger of infection has passed. This applies during examinations too.
17. No parent may meet his/her child during school hours, without prior permission of the Principal/Vice Principal. No child may leave the school during school hours.
18. Parents can meet the Principal / Vice Principal on all working days between 9:30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. with prior appointment.
19. Students of Class XII must appear for the Mock Tests and the Pre-Board Examinations. Absenteeism will be viewed seriously and strict action will be taken.
20. It is compulsory for XII Std. students to come to school regularly till 24th December. Fine of Rs. 100/- per day will be charged from absentees other than serious medical cases, supported by relevant documents.
21. Children should not be sent to school to appear for an examination or test if they are sick.
22. Zero will be awarded to a child if he / she is absent or on medical leave during Revision Tests.
23. Re-Test on medical grounds will be allowed only for Mid-Term Summative Assessment I & Final Exams / Summative Assessment II. In such cases the Medical Certificate must be submitted within three days.
24. In case of any manipulation in answer sheets / report cards, strict action will be taken against the student.
25. Problems relating to children may be discussed with the Class / Subject Teacher on the Parent Teacher Meeting. The dates of Parent Teacher Meetings are mentioned in the school dairy and also in this website. Click here to view the dates of PTM's.
26. Students who accompany their parents on Parents Teacher Meetings should be in full school uniform.
27. Children should not bring Crackers, Colours, Cameras, Video Cameras, Calculators, Cell Phones, I-Pods or any other objectionable item to the school. A fine of Rs. 1000/- will be charged for the same. Disregarding these instructions is liable to lead to suspension or even expulsion of a student from the school.
28. During the absence of the teacher from class, students should obey the Prefect or Monitor appointed to maintain good order.
29. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against those students who damage school property, however small. The parents will have to bear the cost of replacement / repair of the damaged property.
30. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against those students who use abusive language or show physical aggression. Students who are guilty of misbehaviour will be issued 'Warnings' or will be suspended from the school.
31. Students expelled from the school will not be re-admitted.
32. Where a student is suspended, he/she will not attend the school till expiry of the period of suspension.
33. No student should indulge in any of the following practices -
use of Tobacco, Drugs or Intoxicants, any form of Gambling, Rowdyism, Bullying and Rude behaviour, Casteism or Communalism and Sexual Harassment.
34. The management reserves the right to dismiss pupils who continuously fail to make satisfactory progress in studies or whose conduct is in any way detrimental to the orderly life of school.
35. Rail concession vouchers may only be used for students of the school traveling from Delhi to their home town and back during vacations. Applications for the same should be received three weeks in advance.
36. Parents are requested not to interfere in the internal management of the school to maintain strict discipline. However, suggestions in writing are always welcomed by the management.
37. No student is allowed to leave the school campus during school hours without permission from the Principal.
