St. Mark's Senior Secondary Public School, Janakpuri, hosted the third online edition of DOXA YOUTH Model United Nations (MUN) on August 19 and 20, 2023.
In today's era of globalization, understanding the world is more crucial than ever. MUN equips students with a global perspective as they research, represent foreign nations, and propose solutions to worldwide issues. The event welcomed over 100 delegates from 15 renowned schools globally.
The opening ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by our School Principal, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia, who extended a warm welcome to all guests and delegates.
DOXA YOUTH MUN was privileged to have members of its Executive Board - Mr. Shivam Gupta (UNHRC), Mr. Archit Malhotra (G20), Mr. Soham Ahuja (AIPPM), and Ms. Kashish Gumber (UNCSW) - hailing from across the country, including the Delhi-NCR MUN circuit.
The conference featured a dynamic mix of four committees, both conventional and unconventional, each focusing on specific agendas:

Deliberation on “Islamic Fundamentalists are Creating Unrest in the Middle East and European Countries which in turn is Increasing Hate Crimes and Violence”.

Delegates from across India and around the world gained insight into the stance of the assigned country regarding specific agendas. The MUN emerged as a resounding success, leaving a notable impression, especially on the young delegates who left with newfound empowerment and a determined resolve to initiate positive transformations.
During the Closing Ceremony, our Principal, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia, expressed her profound gratitude to the Organizers and Speakers. The Executive Board also provided insightful feedback. |

St. Mark’s Sr. Sec Public School, Janakpuri, organised its second online edition of DOXA YOUTH MUN on 27 and 28 August 2022. Model United Nations teaches students about the world. In this era of globalization, learning about the world is more important than ever. No matter what field or profession students enter, they will interact with people from different countries and diverse backgrounds. Problems taking place halfway around the globe impact our lives, our country and our communities. Students learn about the world as they prepare for MUN, represent countries other than their own and present possible solutions to global problems in committees. We proudly hosted over 88 delegates from 24 prestigious schools across the globe and PAN India.
The opening ceremony saw the meet declared open with lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Our School Principal, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia, extended her heartiest welcome to all the guests and delegates.
DOXA YOUTH MUN was honoured to have members of its Executive Board - Mr. Sanchit Singh (UNHRC), Mr. Sahil Jindal (UNSC), Mr. Soham Ahuja (AIPPM) and Ms. Nandinii Tandon (UNCSW) from all over the country, including the Delhi-NCR MUN circuit.
We simulated a dynamic blend of four committees, both conventional and unconventional, with the following agendas:
1. United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) - Deliberation on the Recent Human Rights Violations of People in Sri Lanka in View of Recent Economic Crisis.

2. United Nations Security Council (UNSC) - Deliberation upon Russia-Ukraine Conflict with Special Emphasis on De-escalation of the Conflict.

3. All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM) - Discussion on Increasing Communal Violence in India with Special Emphasis on Religious Radicalism.

4. United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW)-
Deliberation on Women's Reproductive Rights Across the Globe with Special Emphasis on Impact of Overturning Landmark Judgement of Roe v. Wade.
This conference encouraged the students to acknowledge and enunciate their opinions and solutions regarding the current social, economic and political affairs in the world. The delegates, across the country and around the world, got an opportunity to grasp and comprehend the status of the country assigned to them with respect to a particular agenda.
All in all, the MUN was a successful event, leaving an appreciable impact on everyone, especially the young delegates who have returned empowered and ready to bring about a change. |

St. Marks Sr. Sec Public School, Janakpuri initiated its first ever edition of Virtual Model United nations DOXA YOUTH MUN on 23 and 24 October 2021 to mark the celebration of United Nations Day. The Model United Nations is a platform to serve as a forum for meaningful discussion, debate and discourse for school students. Students from all over India came together to portray themselves as ambassadors of different countries. We proudly hosted over 47 delegates from 11 different schools across India.
The opening ceremony on 23 October 2021, saw the meet declared open with lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Our School Director Ms. Anjali Aggarwal graced the occasion with her virtual presence and extended her heartiest felicitations to all the participants. She applauded the delegates to join hands together as ‘global delegates’ to familiarize themselves with the structural aspects of the United Nations. A warm and congenial welcome was extended to all by the Principal, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia.
DOXA YOUTH MUN was privileged to have members of its executive board - Ms. Mansi Batra (UNHRC), Mr. Priyanshu Grover (UNSC), Mr. Mayank Singhal (AIPPM) and Ms. Sia Malhotra (Harry Potter Crisis Committee) from all over the country, including the Delhi-NCR MUN circuit.
There were four vibrant Committees with the following agendas:
1. United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) - Deliberation on Human Rights Crisis in Myanmar After Military Coup With Emphasis on Safety of Rohingya Muslims

The delegates, with great oratory skills and political analysis, conducted meaningful research and problem-solving consensus. The conference was a huge success and has marked a new beginning, leaving an appreciable impact on everyone and especially the young delegates who have returned enriched, empowered and ready to bring about a change.
In the Closing Ceremony on 24th October, our Principal Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia extended her sincere appreciation towards the Organising Committee who came together as a team. This was followed by constructive feedback from the Executive Board which focused on intellect and ingenuity that came together through the event. Indeed, this first edition of MUN was a milestone in many ways. |
