A workshop on the "Multiple Intelligence, Motivation, Handling Behavioural Issues" was organised for teachers in association with the Oxford University Press. Ms. Prakriti Srivastava conducted this workshop. She spoke about the 'Left and Right brain teaching methods', 'Multiple Intelligence and Experiential teaching methods'. The key points of the workshop were - features of left and right brain learners, eight styles of learning, mind mapping and the Left Brain-Right Brain test.

A teachers workshop was conducted by Ms. Ankita from QAI for our primary teachers. She introduced the Global English Testing Services programme, a 21st century English Language test designed to assess the communicative ability of children in the four basic skills - listening, reading, writing and speaking.In this inspiring session, teachers learnt about the 4th Industrial age essential skills and ways to impart these through classroom activities.

A workshop on "Road Safety and Vehicle Engineering" held at Vigyan Bhawan was attended by our school PET, Mr. Girish Bahuguna on April 24, 2018.

The key speaker was Mr. Abhay Damle, Jt. Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Highway, Govt of India. The speakers addressed their views and thoughts on road and bus safety and on safety norms besides traffic management and laid importance on school activities on road safety.
BYJU's National Aptitude Challenge - (2018)

Times of India and BYJU'S held a National Aptitude Challenge for Science and Maths for Classes VI to XI. Our students Pranshu Arora VI-E, Rewant Singh VIII-E and Naman X-B won a tablet and a school bag for their meritorious performance in the challenge.
Spin a Tale - (17 February 2018)
Five students – Soumya Pokhriyal VII-A, Gursimar Singh VII-G, Manisha Varma VIII-E, Revant VIII-E and Arnav VIII-E attended a workshop - ‘Spin a Tale’ on 17 February 2018, which was organized by Sahitya Akademi as a part of its annual six day event, Sahityotsav. Rajnikant Shukla, a story writer who portrays real life events in his works, and Nazia Khan, recipient of the bravery award, were Chief Guests. The workshop commenced with story and poetry writing competition, wherein students from different schools, aged between 12-17 years, had to compose poetry or a short story on the topics ‘Friendship’ or ‘Sharing’. An interactive session followed the competition, wherein the Chief Guests gave valuable tips to the students, about how the budding writers should enhance their creative writing skills. The session centered around how the students will benefit from reading stories and watching Infotainment channels on the television to conceive ideas for their creative compositions. Lively music and dance performances by student-volunteers provided the recreational and entertaining motif of the workshop. It was an engaging and informative session wherein participating students improved upon their skills in creative thinking and writing.
Career counselling Workshop - (5 and 6 February 2018)

A Career Counselling Workshop was organised in our school on 5 and 6 February 2018. The speaker of the session was Ms. Surbhi Dewra. The workshop focused on providing our students of Classes XI and XII all available career options, courses, new age careers, specific top colleges, competitive exam details and popular FAQs asked by students and parents for all the streams i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Arts and Commerce. A variety of branch selector tests were also discussed. The aim of the workshop was to give the participants complete knowledge, so as to facilitate them in making effective career choices.
Adolescent Issues - (2 February 2018)
The School Counsellor attended a workshop on adolescent issues and conflicts and handling Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Conduct Disorder (CD) on 2 February 2018at Max Hospital, Pitampura. The focus was on identification, intervention, classroom management and behaviour modification at home for children/adolescents presenting ODD and CD. Oppositional defiant disorderis marked by defiant and disobedient behaviour to any one in authority and conduct disorder refers to the pattern of behaviour which the basic right of others or major appropriate norms are violated. A number of causes can lead to these two disorders. Majorly abusive homes, damage to the frontal lobe of the brain, dysfunctional families and parents who abuse drugs or alcohol are the reasons behind such disorders. The speakers of the session were Dr. Sandeep Govil, Dr. Sumit Gupta, Dr. Richa Ahuja and Dr. Deepali Batra.
Astronomy - (1 February 2018)
On 1 February 2018, a workshop on Astronomy was conducted by Space Technology and Education Pvt. Ltd. at K. R. Mangalam World School premises. The workshop was interactive and engaging. It comprised of a presentation and various astro activities, Hydro Rockets, crater making. Safe solar observation, hands on telescope, comet making, moonwalk, ring the planet, universe in 3D, weigh yourself in different planet etc. Twenty-four students drawn from Classes VI to VIII along with two teachers participated in the workshop. It was a wholesome learning experience for the students.
Tata Power Energy Workshop - (29 January 2018)

Tata Power Energy Workshop was organized by Tata Group of Industries in the School Premises on 29 January 2018. Around 100 students of Classes VI to VIII participated in the workshop, which included video shows and various general knowledge queries regarding the consumption of energy in our country. The programme facilitated good awareness for conservation of energy (i.e. to save electrical energy consumptions). As a whole, it was very informative workshop the students.
Capacity Building Program - (18 and 19 January 2018)
Two TGT Science teachers attended the Capacity Building Program for Class X Science on 18 and 19 January organised by CBSE - Centre of Excellence at The Indian Heights School, Dwarka. Mrs. Meenu Tiwari, Principal, CRPF School, Dwarka and Mr. R. K. Srivastava, the resource persons for the program, shared their expertise in refreshing the learning - teaching process in Science. The focus was on the changes in the pedagogical practices with the advanced technologies pertaining to Bloom Taxonomy.
Microsoft Innovator Educator Workshop - (16 and 17 January 2018)
Two days workshop was held on 16th and 17th January 2018 in our school for the teachers to train them as Microsoft Innovator Educator and join the Microsoft community.

They were introduced to variety of courses available online, preparing lesson plans, presentations and also how they can connect, collaborate and innovate with other educators world wide. It was a great learning experience for the teachers to integrate progressive pedagogy with advanced technology as an attempt to advance learning and prepare the students for better job prospective in future.
In-Service Training : Effective Communication - (11 and 12 January 2018)

A workshop, on ‘Effective Communication’, as a part of in-service training for teachers was conducted in our school on 11 January 2018. The resource person, Ms. Samridhi Sagar spoke about the pivotal role communication played in our lives, especially as teachers. The workshop involved recreational and thought-provoking brain storming activities. The importance of being a good listener were emphasised. Also, how body language and voice modulation play a role in making a communication effective. The teachers were motivated to adopt all positive aspects of verbal and non verbal communication in the classroom teaching environment. It was a very interactive, engaging and an insightful session.

Creative Teaching:
Creative teaching can only be a part of a classroom if the teacher presiding is an ingenious individual. A teacher who is creative enough to be part of the innovative classroom can design exciting new lessons, motivate the students for right classroom environment required to showcase students’ innovative minds. The biggest challenge any teacher faces is capturing the students’ attention and putting across ideas in such a manner that it stays with them long after they have left the classroom. For this to happen, classroom experience should be redefined and innovative ideas that make teaching methods more effective should be implemented. To guide our teachers through the idea of Creative Teaching, Dr. Sanjeev Arora from Headword Publications was invited to conduct a workshop on ‘Creative Teaching’ at our School on the 12 January 2018. He is a Public Speaker, Career Counsellor, Behavioural Counsellor and Corporate Trainer.

Headmistress, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia welcomed Dr. Sanjeev Arora and presented a planter. The workshop started off with some brainstorming questions which ignited the creative thought process of the teachers. Many interactive and fun-filled activities were carried out in the playground of the school. These activities focused on creative methods of the teaching-learning process which can be adopted in the classroom. The importance of maintaining emotional balance, teamwork and co-operation in the classroom environmentwas highlighted. Stress was laid on having a positive attitude towards work and life as it is important to ensure that one leads a fulfilling and enjoyable life. The teachers were benefitted a lot from the workshop and were motivated to have a positive outlook in life.
