She also emphasized the importance of sustainable practices, encouraging students to adopt eco-friendly habits that benefit both themselves and the environment. The Department of Skill Education, CBSE conducted a Teacher’s Training 'Capacity Building Programme on Multimedia' on 15 March 2024 at Amity University, Gurgaon. The session provided them a platform to interact with the teachers all over India teaching the skill subject, and share their valuable suggestions on utilising the content available on the CBSE portal in the most efficient manner, for students as well as teachers. |

With the objective of promoting a healthy and affirming perception of one's body, an informative session was organised for girls studying in Classes VIII and IX on 'Self Esteem and Body Image'. Our School Counsellor, Ms. Tarang Sahni guided the students regarding the importance of positive body image and ways to foster it. She also laid emphasis on the significance of good nutrition and lifestyle and highlighting how they contribute to one's confidence, resilience, and ability to navigate life's challenges. |

It has been rightly said that the 'Right to Vote' is the crown jewel of democracy. Thus, to emphasize the importance of participating in the electoral process, an Awareness Campaign was organised by the Election Commission of India on 7 February 2024, within the school premises. Students of Classes XI and XII contributed to the cause by participating in 'Slogan Writing Competition' and highlighting the significance of voting for a healthy and functioning democratic society. Officers from the Election Commission demonstrated the use of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and encouraged the students to practice casting their votes.

An Interactive Literary Session was organised by St. Mark’s School, Janakpuri for the literary buffs of Classes VI-lX on 12 January, 2024. The renowned author, Mr. Inder Raj Ahluwalia embarked the students on the pages of the world, transcending boundaries not only as a travel journalist but as a literary architect, weaving tales that transported them to far-flung realms, making the extraordinary accessible through the magic of words. He talked about his experiences and provided some thoughtful insights of the world of authors. He also took the initiative to counsel the students who saw their career in being a travel journalist.

To familiarise our faculty members with the features and objectives of The National Education Policy 2020 which aims to transform the education system in India. A workshop was held by the resource person, Mr. Avinash Kumar, on 30 December 2023. Mr. Kumar effortlessly explained the guiding principles of the policy and highlighted its key features including Holistic Education, Flexible Curriculum, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), Technology Integration and more. He also laid emphasis on how the policy envisions a flexible and inclusive education system that adapts to the evolving needs of society and prepares individuals for the challenges of the 21st century. |

The resource person, Mr. Vaibhav Sharma, a distinguished Personality Trainer and Career Guidance Coach, shared his knowledge and expertise about this standardized test that assesses students' aptitude in language, mathematical skills, scientific aptitude, and general awareness. |

An orientation session for the online tech learning programme ‘IBM SkillsBuild’ was organised for the students of Classes VI to XI from 11 December 2023 to 14 December 2023, wherein they were briefed about this free digital learning platform, launched as a part of IBM's CSR initiative. This programme is solely dedicated for providing students with a world-class learning experience in emerging technologies such as Cyber Security, Data Analysis, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Python, C++ and JAVA, along with some essential professional development skills.
The session provided the students with valuable insights about 8000+ high-quality courses, with certifications and badges, offered by the platform. Through IBM SkillsBuild, learners can benefit from AI education developed by IBM experts to provide the latest in cutting edge technology developments. |

A Career Guidance Workshop was organised for the students of Class XI on 4th December 2023, wherein the resource person, Mr. Siddharth Singhal who is the Chief Mentor of IMS Learning, conducted an intriguing session, discussing the CUET exam and Law as a career. He shared the names of different universities that are linked to CUET Result and discussed the importance of exploring different career options.
The session enlightened students about CUET, covering question paper structure, subject selection, and more. Mr. Singhal also emphasized the significance of selecting the right stream and shared some exciting career choices for students in Science, Commerce and Humanities streams. |

With a focus on National Curriculum Framework for foundational level (NCFFS), a Capacity Building Workshop was conducted at N.K Bagrodia Public School, Rohini on 30th November 2023. This workshop was designed to empower educators to create foundation that prepares young learners for a future driven by enhancement of innovation, creativity, and analytical thinking. The learning standards for this stage have been set based on domains of development such as - Physical Development, Socio-emotional and Ethical Development, Cognitive Development, Aesthetic and Cultural Development and Language and Literacy Development.

A 'Capacity Building Workshop' introducing the basics of Python programming was organised by CBSE (COE) on 18 November 2023 at Tagore Sr. Sec. School, Mayapuri. The esteemed resource persons, Ms. Mohini Arora and Ms. D. Mala conducted an interactive session and gave an insight into the basics of Python language, which is a popular object oriented language used for stand alone programs and scripting applications in a variety of domains. The workshop aimed at equipping teachers with essential programming skills using the Python language.

A Career Counselling Workshop was organised on October 20, 2023 for the students of Classes XI and XII, led by Mr. Jitin Chawla, a distinguished expert in Career Counselling and Education. Mr. Chawla provided valuable insights into various career options and contemporary courses, urging the students to consider international educational opportunities. An interactive Q&A session with him allowed students to seek personalised guidance. Ms. Risha from Masters’ Union highlighted some additional career pathways for the students, while Mr. Vikram Soni offered his suggestions on CUET preparation.

The students of our school had the privilege to attend Confluence 2023, a distinguished Career Fair and MEET, held at Siri Fort Auditorium on 18 October 2023, organized by Mr. Jitin Chawla.
The event featured eminent speakers who shared their wisdom and experiences. Mr. Jitin Chawla enlightened the students about the emerging career opportunities within the realms of science, commerce, and humanities. Ms. Swati Ganeti, representing Masters' Union, shared her inspiring insights on pursuing dreams in the business world. Her presentation was enriched with examples from the journeys of industry stalwarts such as Ashneer Grover, Karan Johar, and Nitin Kamath. Dr. Aruna Broota, a distinguished Clinical Psychologist, and a retired professor from the University of Delhi, made a significant impact with her engaging presentation on effective study techniques.
The event provided invaluable insights and guidance to the students of Class XII. |
An Orientation Programme was organised by NCERT on 19th August 2023 to throw light on Nav Bharat Literacy Mission. Ms. Ritu Khurana and Ms. Saloni Kapoor from our school attended the orientation.
It highlighted the four dimensions of the mission:
1. Reading, Writing and Numeracy
2. Digital Literacy
3. Financial Literacy
4. Legal Literacy
The objective of the programme was to emphasise on ‘Education for All’. The programme concluded with a message - EDUCATE, ENCOURAGE and ENLIGHTEN. |

A workshop for the students of Classes VI and VII was organised on Friday, 11 August 2023, by Ms. Simran Swaika, the former winner of International French Spell Bee. She shared her experience and motivated the students. The aim of the workshop was to make the students aware about the format of the Spell Bee Exam and prepare them for the same.
The workshop was extremely interactive and informative. It helped students understand the importance of French language and how it will help them in becoming global citizens. |

In order to facilitate the students to explore career options, a beneficial session on ‘Chartered Accountancy as a Career Option’ by the resource person, CA Ms. Palki Lamba was organised for the students of Classes XI and XII. The objective of this session was to apprise the students with the wide spectrum of CA as a course and how to get into the CA course to achieve career goals.

The esteemed resource persons, Dr. Veena Mishra and Ms. Palavi Sharma, led the workshop, focusing on the significance of learning outcomes over learning objectives. Mr. Yash Makkar, Deputy Secretary and Head of the Centre of Excellence, Delhi West, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. His presence added a sense of prestige to the workshop.He was warmly welcomed by the school Principal, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia.

A psychoeducational session for teachers of Pre-primary to Class Vlll was conducted on 1st July 2023 to raise awareness about POCSO Act. The Act strengthens the legal provisions for the protection of children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
Ms. Swaranjali, the School Counselor, shared valuable insights about the need to identify signs of abuse in children. How workplace harassment affects the mental health of co-workers and emphasised about the safety rules & regulations that should be followed in the school premises to maintain a safe learning and teaching environment. The teachers found the workshop extremely helpful. |

Stress is a natural, normal reaction that can help your body and mind deal with certain circumstances temporarily. Needless to say, it’s important to know how to de-stress and add some positive energy into your life.
Keeping this in perspective, a stress relief workshop was organised for the teachers of our school on 16 May 2023. Teachers engaged in a meditation session to calm their nerves and refocus their minds. They enthusiastically engaged in dance and Art & Craft activities to re-energize themselves and feel optimistic. |

An interesting workshop on 'Public Health Awareness' was organised by the resource person, Dr. Bhavna Gupta on 16 May 2023. She elaborated upon the common lifestyle disorders and emphasized how prevention and early detection is of prime importance concerning public health. She suggested that simple changes in lifestyles could gradually lead to prevention of many disorders. The workshop proved to be insightful for the teachers as they learnt key points about prolonging life and promoting the health and efficiency of population as a whole. |

A workshop with the objective of familiarizing the teachers with National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for school education was organised in the school premises. The resource person, Ms. Manju Sehgal, held an interactive session and spoke at length about the intricacies of the policy and how it caters to the holistic development of students. She also emphasized the need and importance of adopting innovative pedagogies in classrooms to align with the aims and goals of the National Education Policy 2020.

Mental health is important at every stage of life. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act, and how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices.
An enlightening workshop on 'Stress or Blessing' was conducted on 13 May 2023 by leading psychiatrist, Dr. Rajiv Sharma, who spoke at length about types of stress and how they may cause frustration and conflict within. He further elaborated that how changes in lifestyle can result in a stress-free environment. An active interaction with the audience made him share his ideas and thoughts on ways to convert stressful situations into pathways to opportunities. |

It’s almost the time of the year when students of Class XII start focusing on their career goals. Among so many career options choosing the right career option can be a daunting task for the students. A workshop was conducted for the students of Class XII by Pearl Academy and TIME Education. The Speakers were Mr. Krishna Tripathi from Pearl Academy and Mr. Gurneet Singh and Mr. Dhirendra Gupta from TIME Education, who gave multiple options to choose from.
The students of science stream were encouraged to focus on NEET and JEE and they were also asked to make a plan B like going into aviation, doing Law, opting for MBA after B-tech etc. The students of commerce and humanities streams were given various new ideas and aspects to think upon while opting for a career.
The following points were discussed:
1. Combined Entrance Test for IP University (CET)
2. Law entrance examination- CLAT, AILET in colleges like- Symbiosis, Christ, Narsee, Jamia, BHU etc.
3. Tips were also given for cracking CUET. |
Storytelling is an important tool of entertainment and education. 'The Reading Room' workshop was organised by Kathashala at M.L. Bhartia Auditorium, Lodhi Road on 26 April 2023. The resource person, Ms. Simi Srivastava, explained the significance of stories in our lives and how stories can help young learners develop a passion for reading. She spoke at length about the importance of body language, voice modulation, expressions and eye movements as storytelling tools and the usage of songs or jingles in engaging students, and how stories can help us in building a connection with the students.

An engaging and knowledgeable session on ‘Orientation of stakeholders on PRASHAST Mobile App’ was conducted by NCERT. Central Institute for Educational Technology – NCERT launched ‘PRASHAST’ App during Shikshak Parv on 6th September 2022. PRASHAST is a screening tool designed for regular usage by school teachers / special educators for Children with Special Needs. The purpose is to assist in the formal identification and certification of disabilities by early identification at the school level, listing them among the 21 Disabilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The Orientation was attended by Special Educator Ms. Rubina Rashid and School Counsellor Ms. Swaranjali. |

Quality concerns in school education are among the priorities of CBSE as they play a pivotal role in the development of the country. A two day Capacity Building Programme for Mathematics (Secondary Level) was conducted on 8 and 9 February, 2023.
The programme had sessions that oriented teachers to current pedagogical issues and concerns in teaching of Mathematics. Various interactive learning sessions of the manual equipped teachers to frame learning objectives, design instructional strategies that cater to diverse learners, create gender equitable environment in the classrooms, recognize the common errors committed by students and assess learners in a holistic manner. The enriching programme was attended by two of our subject teachers, Ms. Seema Ohri and Ms. Griesha Devgan. |
