Sports Day Annual Sports Day for Pre-Primary Wing - (11 December 2023) The Pre-Primary wing of our school celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 11th December 2023 with pomp and splendour. Students participated in various sporting events like Balance the Ball, Hurdle Race, Pyramid Race, Pack and Run, Frog Race etc. Our Pre Primary Co-ordinator, Ms. Ritu Khurana rewarded the winners with medals and congratulated them for their victory.     Sports Day for Pre-primary wing - (15 December 2022) The Pre-primary wing of St. Mark's School, Janakpuri, celebrated Sports Day on 15 December 2022, with great zeal and fervour. Our little wonders of Classes Nursery and KG enthusiastically participated in various sporting events like 'Stuff The Belly' Race, 'Tippy Tippy Tap' Race, Frog Race, Hopping Race etc. and proved their mettle. Our Principal Ma'am, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia, congratulated all the participants and presented the winners with medals.     Annual Athletics Meet for Primary Wing - (26 February 2019) Click here for more Snaps . . . The Annual Athletics Meet was held for the Primary wing on 26th February 2019 as sports completes holistic development in students. Our school Director, Mrs. Anjali Aggarwal, hoisted the school flag. The contingents of our four houses, Gandhi, Nehru, Shastri and Patel, marched past to the beats of the drum. Students performed colourful aerobics and Bamboo drill. To ensure team building and healthy competition amongst students, a number of races, ball in the basket, pack the bag, balance the ball, water relay etc were organised to challenge them to perform at their best. Principal, Vice Principal and Educational Supervisor applauded the winners as well as the participants for their wonderful performance. Medals were awarded to the winners.   30th Annual Sports Athletics Meet - (17 - 18 February 2016) Click here for more Snaps . . . Sports in an integral part of school curriculum. It not only helps to develop a healthy mind in a healthy body but also helps to inculcate team spirit and discipline. 30th Annual Athletics Meet was held in our school on 17 February 2016 for primary classes (I-V) and 18 February for the sub junior (VI-VIII), junior (IX-X) and senior(XI) levels. Our School Manager, Mr. Rahul Aggarwal declared the Meet open and took salute from the contingents comprising the members of four competing Houses, as they marched past the dais with their respective flags held high. The highlights of the opening ceremony were the Yoga demonstrations by the students, daredevil acts on skates performed with perfect co-ordination and agility, demonstration of Judo skills and colourful drill display by the primary wing students. Students enthusiastically competed in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m races, long jump, shot put, etc. The winners were awarded medals by our Principal Ms. Rama Sethi and Vice Principal Ms. Alka Kher. The Principal in her speech while congratulating the winners also encouraged all the participants and motivated them for improving upon their performance in the future. The medal winners were : 29th Annual Sports Athletics Meet 2013-2014 29th Annual Athletics Meet for Primary as well as for Senior Classes was held on 13th & 20th February 2014. The opening ceremony was graced by our school Principal Ms. Rama Sethi, Vice Principal Ms. Alka Kher, Educationist Mr. H. K. Pandey, Educational Supervisor Ms. Anupam Ganesh and Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia. The Sports Captain administered the solemn oath to the House Vice Captains and the participants. The Sports Torch was carried by the best athlete of the session : 2012-13. The Principal officially declared the Sports Meet open after which the school band played a melodious tune ‘EkTara’. RESULTS : 29th Annual Sports Athletics Meet 2013-2014 28th Annual Sports Athletics Meet 2012-2013 Our school organized its 28th Athletics Meet on 14th and 15th February 2013. In the Opening Ceremony the audience witnessed a wonderful show displaying the prowess of skating genius. This was followed by unfurling of sports flag by the Principal, March Past by Four Houses contingents namely Gandhi, Nehru, Patel and Shastri led by their house captains. The Principal took the salute of the four contingents, which was followed by Oath taking ceremony wherein all participants pledged to take part in the Athletics Meet in true sportsmanship. The Opening Ceremony concluded with the Principal announcing the formal opening of Athletics Meet. Various track and field events had the audience in high spirits, each house members cheering for their representatives. Chairman Mr. T. P. Aggarwal along with the Principal gave away medals to the winners on the concluding day. He made the day a significant one by announcing that the school would soon have a ‘Hockey Academy’ to encourage participation in the National Sports. 27th Annual Sports Athletics Meet 2011-2012 We celebrated 27th Annual Athletics Meet 2011-2012 with great zeal and fervor. All the students especially the participants were really excited about the event. Our chairman Mr. T. P. Aggarwal and director Mrs. Anjali Aggarwal graced this event as the Chief guests. Our Principal Ms. Rama Sethi read out the annual sports report followed by the Physical display. Sports Flag was unfurled by the chief guest followed by the march past by all the four houses i.e. Gandhi, Patel, Nehru and Shastri. It was a pleasure to watch our smartly clad students displaying their marching skills. The students left everyone spellbound with their athletic shows which included Traffic drill, skating and gymnastics. To enhance the sportsmen spirit among the youngsters our school celebrates Sports Day on annual basis. This regard, 26th Annual Athletics Meet was held in our school in the month of December 2010. The occasion was graced by the Chairman of our school Mr. T. P. Aggarwal accompanied by Co-Director Mr. Rahul Aggarwal. The Annual Sports Day was marked by exuberant drill display with dumbbells followed by young gymnasts who displayed their skills. The torch symbolizing harmony was lit by the best atheletes Parth and Himshweta of the year 2009. This was followed by the oath ceremony wherein the students took oath to play with true sportsmanship. After the oath ceremony the school band provided beat to the marching contingent, comprising of four different houses. The two day Athletics Meet was declared OPEN by the Chairman Mr. T. P. Aggarwal. The Primary Wing started with great enthusiasm. Followed by the senior wing, the students showed competition of acumen and muscle power. Best Athelete of the year 2010 were Nikhil among boys and Arzoo Sachdeva among the girls. 25th Annual Sports Day The 25th Annual Sports Day was organized with great fervor and zeal at our school on 24th and 25th November 2009. The events were declared open with the flame lighting ceremony by the school Manager Mr. L. K. Rai, Principal Mrs. Sethi and Vice Principal Mrs. Alka Kher in the presence of the cheering sports enthusiasts.
