Ms. Ritika Anand, Principal of St. Mark’s Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh, a National Awardee and a leader in education was invited to speak at a prestigious conference on peace by UNESCO, in Paris.

Ms. Anand was among 30 experts from across the world, for a conference on Peace. She shared her insights alongside world-renowned figures, including H.E. Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Republic of France. The conference underscores UNESCO’s commitment to achieving goals that represent our highest ethical values of Service Above Self and building peace through the moral and intellectual solidarity of mankind.

It also explored methods to support education, protect the environment, and promote emotional wellbeing in pursuit of a more peaceful world.

Ms. Ritika Anand, was one of the keynote speakers. She shared her insights on ‘The Contribution of Technology in Education’. She was joined by an esteemed panel of experts, including, moderator, Carolyn Johnson, Honorary President of the Action Association for Basic Education and Literacy, Quentin Wodon, Director of the International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa, UNESCO and Anna Cristina d’Addio, Head of thematic section, Global Education Monitoring Report, UNESCO.

Mr. Abhishek Gambhir, Physical Education Teacher at SMS Meera Bagh was felicitated by our Director & Manager, Ms. Anjali Aggarwal for winning bronze medal in 37th National Games organised by Indian Olympic Association in Goa. This grand sporting event was inaugurated by honourable PM Shri. Narender Modi.

Integrity, Responsibility, Excellence, Pioneering, and Unity.”

Every year, Tata ClassEdge hosts the Tata ClassEdge Classroom Championship to celebrate and promote the teachers and their passion for teaching with the latest digital teaching tools. This year, a total of 95 schools from across India participated in its ninth edition.

Ms. Aarti Chauhan from St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh, won the Second Prize at the National Level CCC, IX-edition. The judges of the event, Ms. Chakraborti, Ms. Patel, and Mr. Panthaky congratulated all the participants for their creativity and use of technology for the holistic development of the students.

The participants got a chance to visit the iconic TXC. Ms. Chauhan was felicitated at Bombay House, along with Ms. Sangeeta Suresh, Academic Coordinator (Primary). The winners also had the opportunity to meet and greet Mr. Jamwal, the Executive Director of Tata Industries at the Bombay House.

Our Principal Ms. Ritika Anand and Headmistress Ms. Pooja Bahl applauded Ms. Chauhan for the remarkable achievement.
Nirmaan Enterprises wins Gold Level Award - (March 2024)

Nirmaan Enterprises, our student-run business under the aegis of Teach a Man to Fish, London makes a variety of products ranging from chocolates, perfumes, aloe vera gel, bags, keychains, earrings etc. It focuses on 3 P’s- People, Planet and Profit. Also, the motive of Nirmaan Enterprises is women empowerment. Whatever proceeds are generated after selling the products is distributed among the slum children in the form of notebook and stationery.

Team Nirmaan has bagged Gold Award Level in the School Enterprise Challenge 2023! The business team has not only learnt entrepreneurial and life skills but also generated real profit.

Dr. Naveen Gupta, Head of ICT at St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Delhi, has been honored with the "Global Education Leadership Award" at GSLC SPARC 2021V in Jaipur. The award, presented during "The Road to IKIGAI - Achieving Mindful Education Excellence," recognizes Dr. Gupta's outstanding contributions to education locally and globally.

Our School was felicitated with the Guinness World Certificate for being an Environmentally Conscious School. Our recent initiative, ‘Waste to Wealth Drive’ in collaboration with Blue Planet Environmental Solutions, a Singapore based company, had our students collect paper waste for recycling. Thanks to the tremendous efforts of our students along with students from other participating schools, Blue Planet Environmental Solutions collected 4,37,975 Kgs. of paper waste in 24 hours creating a new milestone in the GuinnessWorld of Records.

Nirmaan Enterprises, a project run under School Enterprise Challenge Programme by a UK based NGO, Teach a Man To Fish, received the ‘Silver Award Level in the School Enterprise Challenge 2022’.

This year the business was diversified by adding skincare products like Aloe-vera gel, Rose water, Lip-balms and face mist. Stalls were put up on various occasions like PTMs, Diwali, Christmas, New Year, fulfilling the 3 fold criteria for its existence: People, Planet and Profit, keeping its focus onwomen empowerment.

Arpita Jain (12-A) and Jasraj Singh (12-C) received the ‘Global Sustainability Award 2023’, while participating in a competition which witnessed over 450 submissions spanning various categories and representing more than 15 countries across five continents.

The awards ceremony was graced by Shri. Ashwini Kumar Choubey, the Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution of India.

Arpita Jain's PRISM project: People Respecting Individuality and Sexuality in Mankind, that aims at fostering inclusivity and understanding in society, received the Runner-Up Trophy for SDG 10, Reduced Inequalities.

Jasraj Singh, on the other hand, secured the winning position for SDG 17, Partnership for the Goals. His exceptional work with the International Children's Parliament underscores the importance of global collaboration in achieving a sustainable and harmonious future.

Inthe 11th Online Fully Residential Schools International Symposium (FRSIS) 2023, our students presented their research on critical global issues including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Three teams, comprising of four students. Arpita Jain (12-A), Jasraj Singh (12-C), Anya Tandon (11-A), and Anurag Madaan (11-G) researched on the topic "Nurturing Inclusivity in a Diverse World".

Dhruv Singhal (12-C), Daneet Kaur (12-C), Ansh Chadha (11-C), and Uditti Goel (12-C) delved into the theme ‘Ripple Effects of Human Displacement’ while, Mannat Gogia (12-F), Diya Sanghi (12-F), Laveesha Arora (12-F), and Prisha Mehta (12-F) presented their research on "Hunger Crisis and Food Security."

All three teams secured the Gold Award in this international research-based symposium.

Navya Aggarwal of Class 9-B and Pujit Jain of Class 6-F won a Gold Medal each first in the State Level French Olympiad held in the school, and then in the National Level held virtually. Their 100% score makes them deserving winners who deserve a big round of applause.

Two of our team participated in the 10th online Fully Residential Schools International Symposium (FRSIS) 2022 organized by the Malaysian Ministry of Education.

For the theme "Economic Recovery: Rising From The Rubles - SDG 8," Ansh Chadha (10-A), Daneet Kaur (11-C), Jasraj Singh (11-C), and Krish Vishwakarma (11-G) won the Gold Award.

Arpita Jain (11-A), Chitra Garg (11-G), Kanisha Khurana (11-G), and Prisha Jain (11-B) won the silver award for the theme "Career Sustainability And The Emergence Of New Career Paths - SDG 9".

On December 27, 2022, the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, an educationist and former President of India, an award function was held to honour people who have made exceptional contributions to the field of education.

On this occasion, Mr. Naveen Gupta was recognized as the Most Inspiring Educationist for his outstanding contribution to the field. The award was presented by Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. The award function was organized by the Shikshak Kalyan Foundation (Regd), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting education in India.

St. Mark's School, Meera Bagh wins Two Prizes in the Global Virtual Classroom Network Website Designing Contest.

It won the Grand Prize in the Primary School category and the Second Prize in the Secondary School category. The Grand Prize winner is the website “Oceans” created and built by the students of St. Mark's School along with the students of Papillon Academe, USA and Etkin Kolej, Turkey. It has been adjudged as compelling, comprehensive, and created in an exceptionally collaborative manner. The website has also scored for the originality demonstrated and the creativity displayed by the students. In the Secondary School Category, the school has won Second Place for the website “Wildlife Safari” created and built by the students along with their counterparts from Wunshan Senior High School, Taiwan.

Team Earth Saviours of St. Mark's School, Meera Bagh has won a stipend of 600 USD from the APEC Cyber Academy, Taiwan, an international virtual learning environment for K-12 students.

Kashvi Suri and Rupashi Nagi from Class 7 and Aditya Jhamb, Pradyuman Sapra and Sukhman Singh from Class 8 created a new green air purifier to keep the community much safer and a better place.

On 29 October 2022, Mr. Naveen Gupta, Head of ICT Dept & PGT Comp. Science St. Mark’s Sr. Sec Public School, Meera Bagh and a proud recipient of National Information & Communication Technology Award, Ministry of Education, India, received another certificate of honour awarded by the Delhi Minorities Commission.

He received the award for empowering students through education and providing an excellent learning environment. The honour ceremony was held on 29th October, 2022 at Delhi Vidhan Sabha, Civil Lines, Delhi, India. He received this honour from Mr. Ram Niwas Goel Honourable Speaker to Delhi Vidhan Sabha in the presence of Mr. Zakir Khan Chairman Delhi Minorities Commission, Govt. of NCT Delhi.

Mr. Gupta was honoured with a Certificate of Honour and Memento. Mr. Ram Niwas Goel appreciated the work of Mr. Gupta in the field of Education.
Outstanding Principal Award 2022 - (23 September 2022)
Our Principal Mrs. Anjali Aggarwal has been awarded with the “Outstanding Principal Award 2022” at the “ADSRS Education and Research Award Summit 2022” held on September 23, 2022.

She received the award for her valuable contribution to the field of education, her ability to collaborate and cooperate with partner schools from across the world and her constant efforts for the holistic development of the students.

The award was given away by Dr. Ankush Ghosh, CTO & Director - Planning, ADSRS Education and Research to Ms. Poonam Sethi, PGT Mathematics, who collected it on behalf of our Principal.

Teacher’s Day 2022 is a special one for us as our Vice Principal Ms. Ritika Anand has been conferred with the State Teachers’ Award 2022. She received the award from Shri. Manish Sisodia, the Honourable Education Minister of Delhi at Thyagaraj Stadium. wherein 118 teachers were awarded for their exemplary contribution to the field of education.

Ms. Ritika Anand, a zealous educator, has been working tirelessly to make education an inclusive one, one that provides opportunities and meets the needs of CWSN.

Ms. Ritika Anand, Vice Principal, St. Mark’s School, Meera Bagh, an academician, a CBSE COE Delhi West Resource person was awarded the prestigious CBSE Honour for Excellence in Teaching and School Leadership 2020-21. She was also felicitated with the ‘Best Teacher Presenter Award’at the 26th All India Children's Educational Audio Video Festival, a National Level Competition for e-Content Development (New Media and ICT materials for school education and teacher education), organised by Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT, Delhi.

HT Pace Award - (February 2020)

Aashvi Ahlawat and Manya Jain of Class VII-A participated in HT Pace Contest Quiz No. 608 and 609 respectively in the month of February, 2020. The quiz was sponsored by Penguin Books. The results were declared the following week. Manya won the second prize and Aashvi won the consolation prize in their respective quiz. They were handed over the prizes by the Vice Principal, Ms. R. Anand.

We receive the prestigious School Excellence Award from Brainfeed Magazine. The award is in recognition to our outstanding education practices and our contribution in creating global leaders. We are applauded for our innovative and creative practices, sports education, co-curricular activities and much more. The award is also for our innovative approach and committed efforts in grooming young learners with skills for life.

Ms. S. Arora, Ms. M. Som, Ms. S. Kaur and Ms. S. Suresh of St. Mark’s Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh received the 8th Zamit International School Awards at the 11th EDU ConvEx organised by Planet Edu. The conference included many talks about Learning Power by some eminent speakers like Mr. John Kerr (former CEO of Edexcel Foundation), Prof. M. M. Pant (Founder, LMP Education Trust), Mr. Sanjay Malviya (Managing Trustee, The Future Foundation) and Mr. Sanjeev Sehgal (COO – Planet EDU Exams).

Our school bagged the Award for Best School for Future Readiness under the category of International School Jury Awards.
