The school presented a colourful and musical extravaganza titled ‘A Magical Journey’ on 8th November 2012 in school premises. An inspiring and motivating programme threw light on the journey of India covering a span of centuries. The programme began with a devotional song accompanied by depiction of replica of ashram activities of vedic times along with new popular world ever, yogaasans, on a three dimensional stage.
The programme included Annual Report read by the Principal Ms. Rama Sethi highlighting the achievements of school and its students in the academic calendar of 2011-12. The programme was graced by Mr. Jyoti Kalash, Resident Commissioner of Nagaland as the Chief Guest who was accorded a warm welcome by the Chairman Mr. T. P. Aggarwal, Director Mrs. Anjali Aggarwal and Manager Mr. Rahul Aggarwal. The programme gave a profound message of taking pride in being citizens of a great country like India. Infused with inspiring talk of the great Vivekananda and Gandhi’s Dandi March peppered with lively dances ranging from Chinese to Persian to Ballroom Dance along with Dandiya & Bhangra, presenting a delightful mix of a blended culture.

On 7th November 2012 more than 500 primary students of St. Mark’s Sr. Sec. Public School, Janak puri presented a resplendent “Magical Journey”. The program commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Guest of honour Mr. Parkash Chander Mann - Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vikas Puri; Chairman Mr. T. P. Aggarwal, Director Mrs. Anjali Aggarwal, Manager Mr. Rahul Aggarwal and other school dignitaries. The journey began promoting the Universal Religion of Love with the Inter faith Dance. The Principal Ms. Rama Sethi presented the Annual School Report tracing the progress by the school in the last Session.

The travelling teddies transported the audience to different time zones of the world. Be it the beautiful Matryoshkas - the nesting dolls of Russia, the Hula Dancers of the Islands of Paradise or the Cowboys from the Dallas the audience were totally enthralled by their colourful performances. The Kalbelia and the Sambalpuri Dance highlighted the opulence and grandeur of the Indian culture. The theatrical enactment flavoured with music and dance ‘Pandora’s Box’ - from Greece emphasized that ‘Miseries do crop up but Hope endures in the end’. The audience had goose bumps when suddenly haunting and scary pumpkins, ghosts and witches came alive as part of the extravagant Halloween Celebrations.
The junior school choir brought in the spirit of togetherness by presenting the song - ‘Together we can change the world’. The programme rose to a final crescendo with a sequence of scintillating modern dances like Polka, Country Folk, Jazz, Jive, Twist, Ballroom, Foxtrot and Salsa performed by the students, which left a beautiful resonance lingering in the minds of everyone.
The whole show was a wonderful fusion of eastern and western cultures by a harmonious blend of music, rhythm and dance.
The Guest of Honour appreciated and applauded the overwhelming performance of the students.
