Investiture Ceremony for the session 2023-24 - (July 2023)

Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. A school cannot run without good leadership, and the student councils provide excellent possibilities for leadership and development in a student’s life. It represents a student’s willingness to serve others and put in the hard work required for them to lead the student body. The office bearers of a school are a link between the staff and the students and work for the effective and seamless functioning of the school. Therefore, the investiture ceremony for the session 2023-24 was held wherein the prefectorial board was inducted and charged with the duties to promote the student body’s voice and actively collaborate with teachers and advisors to build a better learning environment for them. Our school’s Principal, Ms. Sheena Kalenga and Vice Principal, Dr. Sabina Shergill conferred the badges to the office bearers who pledged to uphold the school’s honour and obey the laws of their alma mater. The newly inducted team was encouraged by the Principal to perform to the best of their ability.

Also, Nehru House was the winner of the Best House for the academic session 2022-23.

Investiture Ceremony 2022-23 - (5 August 2022)

Imagine with all your mind. Believe with all your heart and achieve with all your might.

This is the spirit of the newly inducted office bearers of St. Mark’s World School. The Investiture Ceremony for the prefects of 2022-23 batch was held on 5 August 2022 with the pledge that they would uphold the honour of their alma mater and show their discipline and loyalty in all the efforts they make.

Investiture Ceremony for Juniors 2019-20 - (August 2019)

Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It’s about impact, influence, inspiration and most importantly responsibility.

Leadership and discipline always go hand in hand. Today, the Investiture Ceremony was organised for the Junior School gracing the new office bearers for the academic session 2019-2020. The event began with the pinning up of the badges followed by the oath taking ceremony conducted by the newly appointed Head Girl - Mitali Sikka. Aarna Sethi was appointed the Vice Head Girl. Advaita Vashista was appointed the Sports Captain and Marshleen as the Vice Sports Captain. Discipline is an integral and inevitable part of the school conduct. Shrijita Gautam and Yashleen Shergill have been appointed as the Discipline Incharges.

Our Vice Principal, Ms. Sabina Shergill and Educational Supervisor Ms. Vandana Pandey inspired all the students to inculcate leadership qualities and discipline in order to be successful in life.

Investiture Ceremony 2019-20 - (13 May 2019)

If your action inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. Leadership and learning are indispensible to each other. 13th May 2019 SMGS organized its investiture ceremony for gracing the new office bearers for the session 2019-2020. The much awaited event began with pinning up of badges followed by oath taking ceremony conducted by Sanskriti Kotnala the newly appointed school Head Girl. Mridu of Class XI was appointed as Vice Head Girl for the session 2019-2020. The best house trophy was given to Shastri House. Our Vice-Principal Ms. Sabina Shergill inspired all the students to administer leadership in their lives in order to lead a successful and determined life ahead.

The Investiture Ceremony triggered off with the pinning up of badges followed by the oath taking ceremony conducted by the School Head Girl. The school Vice Principal, Ms. Sabina Shergill inspired the congregation with her wise words and urged the students to understand that the price of greatness is responsibility. She also stated that Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and in actions.

8 May 2017 marked the opening of new vistas for the students of St. Mark’s Girls Sr. Sec School when they were invested as the new office bearers for the session 2017-18. The investiture Ceremony triggered off with the pinning up of the badges followed by the oath taking ceremony. Angela Sehgal of Class XII-A and Kritika Grewal of Class XI-C were appointed as the Head Girl and Vice Head Girl of the school respectively. Patel House was awarded the best House Trophy for the session 2016-17. The school Principal Ms. Sheena Kalenga inspired the congregation with her wise words and urged the students to understand that the price of greatness is responsibility.

5 May 2016 marked the opening of new vistas for the students of the school when they were invested as the new office bearers for the session 2016-17. The Investiture Ceremony triggered off with the pinning up of the badges followed by the oath taking ceremony. Hansa Kaushik of Class XII-C and Tithee Rathee of Class XI-B were appointed as the Head Girl and Vice Head Girl of the school respectively. Gandhi House was awarded the best House Trophy for the session 2015-16. The school Principal Ms. Sheena Kalenga inspired the congregation with her wise words and urged the students to understand that the price of greatness is responsibility.

16 May 2013, marked the opening of new vistas for the senior students of St. Mark's Girls Sr. Sec. School when they were invested as the new office bearers for the session 2013-2014. The Investiture Ceremony triggered off with the pinning up of the badges followed by the oath taking ceremony. The school principal, Ms. Sheena Kalinga inspired the congregation with her wise words and urged the students to understand that the price of greatness is responsibility. The new office bearers for the upcoming session were selected.

Investiture Ceremony 2012 - (1 October 2012)

It is rightly said, "The old order changeth, Yielding place to new!!" On 1^st October 2012, the investiture ceremony of our school was half to invest the new office bearers with their responsibilities, with the faith that they will emerge as great leaders and take a pledge to preserve the pride of the school. The investiture ceremony is a special occasion which gives the senior students a platform to showcase their leadership skills and abilities. This is the time when young St. Markians take an oath to work for the betterment of the school.

Our Principal Ms. Sheena Kalinga and our Vice Principal Ms. Shergill honoured the new office bearers. Sheena ma'am reminded them that this honour is accompanied with great responsibility!!

On this occasion, the students of class XI presented a street play which focussed on corruption - a major issue that has affected the Indian economy.

“No institution, no country, no state is complete without its leaders”. Therefore, keeping this thought in our mind, St. Mark’s Girls Sr. Sec. School organized its investiture ceremony on 12 August (Friday) where the office bearers swore to upload the discipline rules and honours of the school. The Principal, Ms. Sheena Kalenga and the headmistress, Ms. Sabina Shergill assigned duties to the students and pinned the badges of responsibility.
