| A media week was organized in the St. Mark’s Girls Sr. Sec. School from the 21st - 24th Dec 2009. During the three day event, a combination of very innovative, interesting and educative programmes were held in the school. These included activities like Poster Making Competition for class VI. Make an Ad for class VII and The Dumbest Ad Competition for class VIII respectively. The main aim of this event was to promote the talent of the less confident students who refrain from taking part in any class or curricular activity in the school. The Principal of the school Ms. Sheena Kalenga always motivates and supports the students to try their hand at new activities which will inculcate a sense of confidence in them. The effect of the exposure provided by this innovative event was clearly visible in the students, irrespective of their age and class. The main attraction of the Media Week was a street play titled “Breaking News” presented by the girls of class IX. The play was aimed at educating our students about the impact of media on our lives - everyday and everywhere. ‘Saksham’, the street play group of the school put in an honest effort to make this play a huge success. |
