It is rightly said by Erasmus that the main hope of a nation lies in the proper education of its youth. Ministry of youth affairs and sports organised a brainstorming seminar for the teachers of eminent schools. SMGS enthusiastically was a part of this encouraging session. Academics and sports teachers participated in a spirited way to imbibe the knowledge of youth development amongst the students. Respected ministers and commissioners graced their benign presence to address the gathering with their high ending words and thoughts. The chief guest for the day was Mr. Vijay Goel, Minister of Youth affairs and sports who truly holds a great vision for the development of youth. He engulfed the gathering with his encouraging thoughts. Organisation of NSS, NCC, and scouts in schools is clearly a requisite element to bring about a growth in the experiences of youth. Heritage promotion also makes up an important thought to maintain the archaeological monuments in co-operation with the public and private schools. A huge reference to the integration of children from slum areas was also made to enlighten the youth about the possible amelioration of literacy and sports education. An inspirational example of Saina Nehwal was made to highlight the successful growth of an individual with a hand in hand assistance of schools and colleges. Overall, the session truly illuminated the minds of teachers and helped them to take along with them the catchwords ‘To stand and rise’, for the growth and development of youth through sports.
